One lucky lady has been celebrating her incredible good fortune after scooping a $301,852 slots jackpot at the Grand Pequot Casino, Foxwoods in southeastern Connecticut.
On Thursday, January 20th, according to a recent announcement by the casino, a Wilmington woman by the name of Sharon Kelly Parella scooped the huge sum after playing the $1 progressive slot machine “Temple of Treasure.”
What makes Sharon’s life changing bonanza all the more impressive is the fact it took a change in her usual choice of casino game for her to win the impressive amount. As she explains:
“I go to Foxwoods 3 or 4 times each year, but I don’t usually even play the slots. I usually play blackjack – so it must have been fate!”
Fate or otherwise, ever since her decision to give the slot machine a go Sharon Kelly Parella has been walking on air and was even treated to a few extra luxuries by the Grand Pequot Casino in celebration of her win.
